I own a CM Storm Trooper which came with 2 USB 3.0 ports on front. I then installed a 3.5" bay Card Reader with USB 3.0 plug. Since the front panel USBs were already connected to the motherboard I connected the card reader to two rear panel USB 3.0 plugs using this adapter. USB plugs worked but card readers did not.
Swapped the cases front panel connector cable to this adapter and plugged the card reader into the motherboard -- success. Apparently dual USB 3.0 adapter still not enough to power this card reader.
Bottom line, cable adapter works just be aware of possible power limitations

Used to connect rear panel USB 3.0 to new USB 3.0 panel on the front of case. Work great. Arrived quickly. First purchase direct from CM - overall, very pleased.

My purchase arrived in 10 days and it was free shipping. So I was happy on both counts.
I purchased this because I already had a card reader with two USB 3.0 ports and when I purchased the top panel for my case, it had another two USB ports. My motherboard had one header to plug either the USB 3.0 ports from the card reader or from the top panel.
With this product, I have two headers. I used the opening in the back of the case, where tubes for liquid cooling the CPU can pass through, to pass the cords from this product and plug them into the external USB 3.0 ports at the back of the computer.

Great Product well made; good length from external connector to inside case.
Great price and communication unlike another well known case and memory manufacturer.
Fast shipping except for USPS.

I bought this to get 3.0 capability out of a card reader that had a 19 pin connection. Already had that connection used on the MB from a new case with 3.0, but wanted a built in card reader vs just an external usb connection. Ran it out the back of the case through the water cooling optional grommets and plugged them into the usb ports on the back. Works like a charm. Same as everybody else's review. Best option out there.

It does the job of connecting my USB 3.0 front header plug to my back USB 3.0 ports as my current motherboard doesn't have any internal. Finally allowed my second USB port to open up. Surprisingly enough, this was the first place I actually found the item and not on other competitor sites near bodies of water or jungles.

It does it.

This is exactly as it's described and a must have for those of us with older motherboards without an on-board USB 3.0 header for front ports. Similar solutions sell elsewhere for $15-$20, which is crazy. This is priced right, high quality and ships quickly.
